The $34 million dollar airport expansion is in the final stages of completion. The brand new, 10,000 SF, state of the art terminal building is open for business! The runway and taxiway are currently at 4,100 ft and will be extended to 5,000 ft within the next year. The runway has been widened from 75 ft to 100 ft. S&S Aviation, the FBO on site, has built a 65,000 SF hanger adjacent to the new passenger terminal. S&S will construct an additional hangar when space is needed. Once the expansion is complete the airport will have the capability to house 200 aircrafts within hangars and an additional 100 at tie-downs. The Airport is conveniently located in Cherokee County, just off Interstate 575 Exit 27 in Ball Ground.
