Hickory Log Creek Reservoir

The Hickory Log Creek Reservoir is an integral part of The Bluffs of Technology Park in Canton, Georgia. The City of Canton and the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA) formed a partnership to build the dam and reservoir on Hickory Log Creek to provide an additional source of drinking water for the area. The reservoir is located west of Bluffs Parkway.

The project also includes an intake, pump station, and pipeline to carry additional water from the Etowah River to be stored in the reservoir until it is needed. The cost of the entire project is estimated at almost $100 million. Some of the specific details of the dam and reservoir include:

• 180 feet in height, making it one of the largest dams in Georgia not built by the Corps of Engineers or Georgia Power
• 15 miles of shoreline
• 414 acres
• Five (5) billion gallon capacity
