Award Winning Authors Showcase Cookbook and Downtown Woodstock Business
A celebration of the release of Nathalie Dupree and Cynthia Graubart’s new cookbook, “Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking,” will take place from 7:45 to 9:30 am at FREIGHT Kitchen and Tap. Good Day Atlanta will film a segment this Friday live from downtown Woodstock. The event will highlight FREIGHT’s southern roots by having Nathalie Dupree, famous and award winning cookbook author and southern chef, launch her new cookbook on Good Day Atlanta at the restaurant. The cookbook is a collaborative effort from Nathalie and Cynthia to bring more than 750 tasty Southern recipes to kitchens around the Country.
In the book, Dupree and Graubart reveal the essence of food that delights, entices and satisfies, celebrating the “Mother Cuisine” of American cooking. The book is based on years of research, beginning with their first collaboration in 1985 for the PBS television series “New Southern Cooking.” The authors embrace the cookbooks and recipes of the past, enhancing them with the foods and conveniences of today.
