Woodstock business expands, plans to add 75 to 100 jobs

CANTON — The Cherokee Office of Economic Development announced Thursday that International Thermocast, based in Woodstock, has expanded into a 98,000-square-foot facility in the Canton-Cherokee Business and Industrial Park.
The building is located on almost eight acres in the city limits of Canton. The industrial park is off Interstate 575 at Exit 19.
International Thermocast plans to add 75 to 100 jobs with this expansion, and the county’s new Opportunity Zone provided savings in job tax credits.
“The city is happy International Thermocast chose Canton and will provide additional job opportunities for residents,” said Canton Mayor Gene Hobgood. “We were pleased to help in the location and look forward to working with them to make this new facility a success.”
International Thermocast is a global manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of technologically advanced, cast acrylic and composite stone sinks and plumbing products.
The company completed the purchase of the facility earlier in December.
The transition will not only serve to accommodate the growth that Thermocast has enjoyed over the last few years, but it will also provide much needed space to manufacture an entirely new line of composite kitchen and bath products to its existing customer base throughout the U.S. and Canada, according to a release from the Cherokee Office of Economic Development.
The company creates many types of sinks including laundry, kitchen, bath and entertainment. International Thermocast’s Atlanta location allows the company to easily ship products to any part of the world.
The company has worked within a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, but needed room to grow.

International Thermocast merchandises their products through the two largest home improvement retailers in the world.
