Amy is a Florida native and relocated to Cherokee County in 2003, where she raised two children alongside her high school sweetheart turned husband, now for 25 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Florida State University (Go NOLES), has training as a Global Career Development Facilitator and has completed the Georgia Academy of Economic Development (GEDA) Regional Program.
Prior to joining Cherokee Office of Economic Development, she has had a diverse and impressive career background in various fields, including HR administration, economic development, education, and mental health.  She has a passion for and has showcased a commitment to helping others explore career options, make informed decisions, and develop skills for a fulfilling career path by providing guidance, resources, and support, while connecting and meeting the needs of employers.
While not at work, she enjoys traveling with her husband anywhere there is a beach or boat (can take a girl out of Florida, but can’t take Florida out of the girl), and spending time with her now adult children, new puppy, Sailor, and grand dogs, Elbie and Lola!
