Marshall Day is the Chairman of the Development Authority of Cherokee County. He is a native of Cherokee County. He also served in the US Air Force, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Marshall has professional work experience with Arthur Andersen & Co., Gold Kist, Inc., Williams Bros. Inc., and The Home Depot. He retired in 2000 after 14 years of service with The Home Depot, where he held several financial positions including Chief Financial Officer. Marshall is also the Finance Chair at the Ball Ground United Methodist Church, serves on the Board of Trustees for Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia, and serves on the advisory board for United Community Bank in Cherokee County.
