We are a growing company that is looking to fill several positions to strengthen our workforce.Awnex is looking to add an experienced full time AutoCAD Drafter II to our Engineering Department to meet our growing customer needs. This position will work with a team of Draftsmen and Engineers to produce quality and accurate drawings that meet industry standards. Awnex provides aluminum architectural branding elements to corporate customers as well as general contractors. Our Engineering Department assists customers from the conceptual phase, production, installation, through to the final design.The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree/CAD Certificate in Computer Aided Design and 3 years of experience. Knowledge of architectural and fabrication drawings is required. This position will be responsible for creating drawings and parts lists for accurate drawings and documentation to coordinate with our inventory system, Fabrication and Installation. The AutoCAD Drafter II will be able to handle a tight schedule and work well with others. Must be familiar with using templates, standard designs, and flexible with handling custom work. Hours worked will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM.Position Duties:· Provide drawings and product specifications to ensure that all designs meet product criteria and limitations· Provide Bill of Materials and parts lists for correct quantities and part numbers· Communicate with other Awnex team members to ensure everyone is informed· File management – assist in keeping tack of company standards & templates· Time management – hold to a consistent schedule and provide results on a deadlineRequired Skillsets:· AutoCAD drafting, 3+ years· Knowledge of fabrication and construction practices· Excellent verbal and written communication· Reading and understanding of prints· Must be able to work well in a team and individually· Must be organized and able to meet deadlines· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
