Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Exercise and promote safety
  • Read and understand the hard card documentation and process
  • Know where to place the hard card when complete
  • Understand training sheets
  • Know production schedule
  • Collect data
  • Verify piece count
  • Inspect material
  • Build loads and racks
  • Generate load sheet
  • Operate and program ovens
  • Understand TC wire connection
  • Secure tags on racks
  • Cool material with fans
  • Understand lab releases
  • Send samples to the lab
  • Close out age sheet
  • Understand basics of the PLC and Historian
  • Understand oven restrictions
  • Understand the required tools and how to use them
  • Fill out electronic data
  • Fill out inspection forms (i.e. crane, forklift, pallet jack)
  • Prepare the line for the next shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED preferred

Minimum Experience: None

Certifications Required: Crane certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications completed during new hire orientation)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions

Physical Abilities: Required to stand 100% of the time; regularly required to reach with hands and arms; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any time; handle hot metal and tooling; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

Schedule: 3rd shift
